Last night was nice and relaxing. We got to explore and enjoy our campground.
Brandon walked the kids up to the camp store while I cleaned up dinner. They came back with a candy. 🤦♀️ I’m really not complaining. I got 20 minutes to myself. I washed dishes and showered. It’s amazing what you can do with 20 minutes alone.
After they got back, it started pouring down rain. A campfire was out. So I showered the kids and put them to bed.
It rained all night long. I actually love listening to the sound of the rain while inside the RV. The kids love it too. Joah said he sleeps better when it rains.
My new favorite show is My 600 Pound Life. I love Dr. Now’s bluntness. I have missed watching it. We don’t have TV channels at home. Brandon got in motion satellite for the motor home. I made fun of him when he did, but secretly I have missed watching shows. Like this one for example.
We all slept in this morning, then got up and drove to Minneapolis.
Brielle colors or writes the entire trip. Joah on the other hand…..it’s quite the struggle to get him to enjoy doing his school. He is more then content to do the bare minimum.
When we got to the campground today, we headed outside. The routine is Brandon sets up camp and I take all the kids outside to get their energy out. It works better then me trying to help Brandon because then we’re tempted to murder the kids. They are too hyper and anxious to get outside after being cooped up.
The kids remembered this campground well from these unique swings. I remembered it well too, but not from the swings. I remember it because this is the campground we got stuck at. Our electric bed got stuck in the down position. We couldn’t close the slide out, making it impossible to leave. Long story short, brandon figured it out himself. No one was able to help him, but he problem solved and youtubed. Six hours later, we finally were on the road then drove through almost tornado weather. Brandon was dieting at that point and he asked me for a second hard boiled egg from all the stress he endured that day.

We grilled dinner then cleaned up and headed to Minihaha Falls. We didn’t get to see them the last time we came because the weather was so bad. That was the trip Caed blew into the van after visiting the aquarium. Then our hotel lost power later that night. For those reasons, the falls did not seem appealing at that time.

It was very worth the wait. I love waterfalls. Joah was arguing before going that it wouldn’t be worth our time going. “The falls are just mini, mom.” Well, he was proved wrong.

We got some great exercise. We did a ton of walking around. Plus my heart rate was really going from almost having a few heart attacks as my kids were being their typical daring selves.

We even did some mountain climbing. Joah is a natural. That boy was born to climb. We kept having to yell at him to not go any further.

Brandon stayed down with Isla while I climbed with the other kids. We switched half way between. The main reason was I ate it and fell all the way down the side of the mountain. lol no joke. I was so relieved when I realized no one saw but us, so this isn’t the smartest of me to tell. I blame my shoes. Brandon let me know it might have been more than just my shoes. It seemed like a smarter/safer idea to switch and put Brandon in charge of the climbing children.
