I’ve got to be honest. I was debating staying home while Brandon traveled this trip alone. I knew a good portion of it was going to be spent in Wisconsin. I said “what are we going to do, sit around and eat cheese?”(which by the way wouldn’t have been terrible). I really had no idea what all their was to do here. When I think of Wisconsin, I think of the middle of nowhere. Wisconsin Dells is a huge tourist place. We stayed at the Mount Olympus resort before, but we got there at night and I assumed a lot was closed around the resort. We had most of the day yesterday to explore and find there is still a lot open.
Last night after swimming in the water park at our hotel, we checked out a really cool restaraunt we heard about. We heard they delivered your food to you on a train. Caed is obsessed with trains and we knew we had to go. I wasn’t expecting such a big restaraunt. It was huge, with so much to see and look at.
We laughed at their delivery car we saw on the walk in. Who wouldn’t love to get some food delivered to you in this thing?
This was Caed’s face when the first train delivered our drinks.

We walked around after our meal and looked around. They had a huge jump pillow. We skipped since the kids were all stuffed and we didn’t want anyone to puke. They had little villages and cities set up with trains driving all around. They had an open fire where they cooked rotisserie chicken. We watched that for awhile.

They had a real Buffalo you could look at and pet. Joah goes “Wow! What an excellent taxidermy job.” 🤣 I was thinking more like “Wow! Look at the big buffalo.”
This morning Brandon had three trainings. I stayed back at the hotel with the kids. We went to the water park again.
I made Brielle wear her puddle jumper since I was alone. The thing about water parks is it’s very tough to keep your eye on all four kids. Without having many other people there, my kids run around like animals.

After a couple hours we moved from the big water park to the little one. The little one had one pool with basketballs hoops and a volcano slide.
We spent another couple hours here. We had thenplave entirely to ourselves.
JOAH played a lot of basketball. I wish I would have captured on camera Brielle’s play. She played one and only one time. She somehow chucked the basketball at the concrete. The ball bounced and smacked her in the face. She then fell in the water. She did not appreciate all of us laughing at her. I apologized but told her I really couldn’t help it. She looked hilarious. She failed to see the humor.
Isla was starting to get really grumpy. I ended up getting out of the water with her and nursed her. She fell asleep right on me. She very rarely does this and it was the sweetest. I let the other kids run wild until we had our first pooper…..Caed. We came back to our hotel room and snacked on fruit and trail mix. I went and bought some milk from the front desk. I came back and set the milk down while I was peeling oranges when I hear “ugh oh.” Little Isla spilled all of our milk. 🤦♀️Water it was. After we ate, everyone rested. When I say rested, I mean I forced the 3 oldest to lay still and close their eyes for one hour while Isla and I napped.

After we rested/napped it wasn’t worth going back to the water park. Brandon called and was 40 minutes away. We whipped out the bubble machine and played until he got there. Then we loaded up and drove to Sassy Cow Creamery. We found it online and thought it looked cool.
Unfortunately, we missed the tours they offered. We weren’t able to go watch them milk the cows. This is no big deal though. We will just send the kids to our friend Paul Shupe, who has a dairy farm.
We were able to look through the glass and see the very end of the milk bottling process.
When they were done, we got to see them spray everything down with soap. Caed wondered if we were at the car wash.
They make their own homemade ice cream there. We each ordered a cup.

This girl loves her ice cream. Nothing else in the world keeps her sitting this still. They didn’t have a high chair. Isla sat as still as could be in a big chair. She even cleaned up her own spills with a napkin and said “clean!”
We got some string cheese they made at the creamery to snack on tomorrow.

I also got some muffin mix to make muffins with Brielle. That girl loves to help in the kitchen.

The boys wanted this hot chocolate mix. They made a deal that Caed gets the hot chocoate and Joah gets the cool tin.
The weather was nice today, so we played on the playground a little while after eating our ice cream.
Joah insisted on pushing Brandon on the swings. He got knocked over twice, but refused to give up.
