What time is it?

The reason I chose this title is because we have literally no idea what time it is 90% of the time. We have driven through 3 time zones, plus we had daylight savings time. Just when I was adjusted to the new time, we had the time change. I no longer know how to adjust. My body is very confused.

We stayed in a beautiful lodge up in the mountains of Park City, UT for the last week with another family. We didn’t bring the motor home this trip. I was very thankful we weren’t driving it, because we drove through a horrible snowstorm on the way down. We could barely see ahead of us. The road was so slippery. We saw a snowplow slide right off the road……never a great sign. We saw 2 campers fall and get totally destroyed. We saw a total of about a dozen car accidents. I was so thankful for God’s protection. We made it with only one near death encounter involving a semi.

We were able to hang some with family the last couple days. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to catch up and watch our kids interact. Its crazy how much kids change in two years. Our kids are all really growing up.

Brandon has some meetings this next week. We are staying in a condo in San Diego. We are staying on the 14th floor, so unloading all of our stuff is going to be loads of fun for us all.

I always dread leaving, because I’m pretty much a home body. I always feel torn at the obligations we are missing back home. But once I am gone, I feel almost an instant stress release. Brandon and the rest of my family really enjoy travel Carla. She knows how to party. That’s for sure. In all seriousness, I am thankful for the time away. We’ve made lots of memories already and I look forward to more. The time spent together is worth the stress of packing. I’m thankful for the privledge of homeschooling. I’m thankful for the opportunity to travel along with Brandon as he works. My kids are older than they’ve ever been(while on the road). They have a new appreciation and understanding of how blessed they are to be able to spend so much time together and make so many fun memories.
