Huge Parenting Win

Sometimes I win as a parent. Let me tell you about my win of the week.

Today, as we were walking out the door to church, I realized that all four kids had packed a backpack. Wonderful. I told them that starting next week absolutely no backpacks are coming with us to church. But I let it go for today, since they all worked hard and were super excited.

We made it through the service just fine. Sunday school comes. Caed took his backpack to Sunday school with him. I didn’t even notice that he took the bag to class. Like I said, I’m a huge winner.

I noticed the kids upstairs laughing several times. I was standing right below the classroom. I thought “oh how sweet. They’re having a great time in class. I love it.”

After class one of the responsible girls ran Caed’s bag to me. She said “this belongs to Caed. We had to take it away because all the kids kept laughing every time it would go off. “

I opened the bag…:….farting robot. I let my kid take a farting robot to Sunday school. Like I said before I am really winning at life. Never in all my life did I think I would be writing an apology to the teacher about my child disrupting class with a farting robot. But here we are.
