It’s been a crazy week and I’m not just talking about what’s going on with the coronavirus. My kids have had their own share of issues that have left me exhausted. I want to forewarn everyone….don’t read if you don’t like hearing about puke or poop. If you’re a mom, I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine, as poop/puke consumes half our lives.
Sunday, we rushed Brielle to the ER for bleeding when she went to the bathroom. I’ll spare the details, because I want to protect her privacy. She’s totally fine, but gave us a nice scare. It was a minor issue that we have figured out now, thank goodness.
Caed also have us a nice scare. Monday at 3am, Joah game running into our bedroom. “Mom, there’s puke in my hair and my whole room reeks like puke.” There isn’t much that would cause me to rush out of bed at 3am, but that was one of them. I went to find Caed SOUND ASLEEP on the top bunk. Kid barfed in his sleep……from the top bunk. He didn’t wake up until I put him in the tub. I stripped the entire bed and honestly thought all the puke was contained to the middle of the loft bed. Well, the next day I found a nice surprise. I couldn’t figure out why it would still smell like puke in the boys’ bedroom when I washed all the bedding. I started moving furniture. Turns out Caed puked down the wall and I found a nice pile of day old puke behind a piece of funiture. Yay!
Lets fast forward to Tuesday. Isla is potty training. She has pee pretty much mastered, not poop. I had her pantless while I was helping kids brush teeth and get ready for bed. When I went to lay the girls down I smelled something questionable. I followed my nose……to the back of the closet, where I find a nice ripe pile of poo. Kids are fun!
On an entirely different note, We are going to move forward with getting a new motor home. We’ve really been going back and forth wondering what to do. At one point we decided to just stick it out with the old one. However, we ultimately decided it’s not road worthy. If we want to continue traveling as a family while Brandon sells furniture, we need a new unit. So we are in the process of all those details.

This week’s craft time included making hand sanitizer. 🤣 It seemed appropriate timing. Turns out it’s actually easy to make, and I had the ingredients on hand.
Honestly, our life won’t look a whole lot different the next several weeks. I homeschool, so my kids are home all day. As far as going other places and attending events, those things will look different. I really feel for all the working parents who have to make other arrangements for their kids. I feel for kids who depend on school meals. I feel for parents who aren’t used to having their kiddos around all day. I feel for families who had planned to travel and vacation during Spring Break. My heart goes out to you, it really does. Honestly, it’s kind of hard for me to know what to believe. I’ve heard that it’s all a panic and things are getting out of hand. But then again, things are being canceled. Obviously, school closings are a big deal. I’m thankful for a comfortable home. I’m thankful for warmer weather and that I can send the little angels outside. So long as they don’t play baseball with rocks, and accidentally smack each other in the forehead with one. Yes, that happened.
I haven’t been worried in the least bit about this virus. I really didn’t prepare or over-shop or anything. Yesterday, I realized that I probably should stock up. I would say I mildly panicked. I braved the stores. I did a big grocery shop. I shopped four places and I did manage to find some TP. Thank you Dollar General in Caro. I mean why TP? I’m still confused.
All in all it’s been a good week. I stayed busy. I’m on an organization kick. I’ve been getting rid of what we don’t use and cleaning up space in my home. I’ve been cleaning and rearranging. I’m definitely ready for Spring!
