Goodbye California

I can’t remember everything from the last couple day. Quite honestly, all these days are starting to blend together. I’ll do my best.

Evan flew home early yesterday morning. The kids miss him. Overall, it went great with him. He did say he was glad to get back and rest and enjoy some quiet. I told him to rest up this week, because we will be home soon and he can have the privilege of babysitting while I unload this motor home.

We have started making our way towards home, although we still have a couple stops along the way.

We have been driving today. It wasn’t too eventful, until Brandon slammed on the brakes to avoid nailing a cow.

The drive has been beautiful. Our next stop is Utah, one of our favorite states.

We went to Lake Tahoe last Monday. When I saw there was no surrounding water, I was ok with doing some rock climbing. I gave very clear instructions this time. Evan took Joah. I took Brielle. Brandon stayed with the younger two kids.

We were having a great time. Then Brandon noticed some big cat prints in the snow. We had just read about a mountain lion attacking a 6 year old girl in a San Fransisco. It didn’t seem wise to keep climbing all over the rocks.

We drove into town and ate at a brewery. I took the kids outside to a campfire until our food came. We couldn’t help but notice this non traditional campfire. Joah asked around. Turns out this was a fire on glass.

Our campground had another non-heated pool. This time I did not join the kids as they jumped in the freezing water. I stuck to the hot tub.
