Saturday, we drove to Sacramento.

We stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory on the way, to take the free tour. This was our third time taking the tour.

Its still one of my kids’ favorite things to do. They love those jelly beans. They have learned by now which jelly beans to sample at the end of the tour. Joah made sure to give Caed a fart flavored jelly bean, telling him he would love it. This ended in a scene that we caused. Caed was yelling and spitting out the bean. People were staring. The usual!

Sunday, we attended Bethel Church in Redding. It was packed. We went to the 10:30 service. We got there 20 minutes early. It still wasn’t enough time. By the time we checked all our kids into their classes, there were zero seats left. We stood in the back for worship. Then we went to the second overflow room(not the first. The first was already filled). We sat and watched the sermon up on the screen in the overflow room. This was our second time attending the Bethel Redding. I really wish we lived closer. While we don’t agree with 100% of everything, we do really love and appreciate the service. Brielle and Caed both got a very relevant prophetic word from their Sunday School teachers. We all worshiped and were so blessed to be surrounded by other believers. The sermon was on marriage. Even though Evan is not married, he still enjoyed it. There were lots of things he could relate to. We all really enjoyed it. Each kid went to a different class, which usually doesn’t happen. They all loved their class. I’m thankful they each got to do an individual thing, apart from each other. It was good for them.

After church, we went out to eat at In-N-Out Burger.

Last evening was spent swimming and playing at the camp playground.

We mostly hung out in the hot tub. The pool was not heated. We all jumped in briefly. It was probably 50 degree water. It was unbelievably cold. I decided once I was in, I was going to make it worth my time. I swam and exercised for 20 minutes. I was starting to get a headache and get nauseous. I may have overdone it. After drinking some water and warming up, I felt much better. I think I’ll avoid cold swims for awhile though.

We have loved this weather here in California. Someone who lived here told us no one around here has air or a furnace. He said people roast 4 days of the year and freeze 4 days of the year, but other than that it’s perfect. There’s always a breeze. It’s beautiful here!
