Life as a Yowler

Our leave time has been pushed back, because of this broken slide. My brother Evan flew in yesterday. He and Brandon went and did a store training together this morning. The plan was for the repair man to meet us at the campground at 10am. He had ordered a part and it was scheduled to come in yesterday. Well, it’s now 2:40 here and he still hasn’t come. We were afraid he wasn’t coming at all, but he did call and say he would come as soon as the part is in. So apparently it’s not in yet. We’re basically at his mercy. It’s been a stressful day. Brandon got a speeding ticket. We broke a mirror. We are waiting for this guy to come. There’s just lots going on this week, that I won’t get into. I tried to make the best of the situation and still have some fun today. We did school first thing, then headed outside.

We even went swimming, once Brandon and Evan got back. There wasn’t much else to do besides sit around and fume at the repair dude and the situation.

We still have 7-8 hours of driving tonight when/if this guy pulls through and fixes our slide for us. Brandon has a store training tomorrow morning in California. This is the part of traveling that isn’t fun or glamorous. Worst case scenario we are planning on recruiting some men and manually pushing the slide in. We tried already with Brandon, Evan, and I. We were unable to push it manually by ourselves. It’s very heavy. We won’t be able to use the slide the rest of the trip if we do wind up pushing it, but at this point we don’t care. I’ll take less space to just get on the road.
