This morning was fairly laid back. We did school. We read some books and did some more puzzles. I broke up 600 fights. Today, the weather was a lot nicer than yesterday. It was in the 50’s. We played outside quite a bit. Our campground is enormous and most of the spots are filled. We have stayed at this campground about five times now. Each time I am surprised that there’s no playground or any kids activities. There is a pool, but each time we’ve gone, it’s only adults swimming. Let’s be real, we put a little damper on adults’ swim. The last time we were here, we swam with two men as drunk as a skunk. They were trying to teach my kids how to dive in a no diving zone. So that was fun to deal with. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70’s. We will see it I can bring myself to take kids swimming.
We have been riding bikes and hover boarding. There’s lots of pavement to ride on. Today, we met a dad and his two kids. He works at the camp and they live there in a camper. His kids connected right with mine. The dad said, they don’t often have kids to play with outside of school. They both cried when we left to go to The Lion King play. We told them we will hang with them again tomorrow.
We were researching things to do in Vegas that are kid friendly. Isla is too young for Cirque du Soleil. Caed is too, although he looks to be at least 5. We found that there was a kids broadway academy that puts on plays every Wednesday night. They are currently performing The Lion King. We bought tickets and the kids sat glued. Joah especially was really into it. I can see Joah going into acting. He’s highly dramatic, plus he’s very talented. Brielle loved the dancing part of the play. The broadway academy is also a dance studio. I watched a little bit of a dance class before the play started. These actors/dancers were very talented. They were 10-11 years old.
My favorite part of driving the Las Vegas strip is hearing Caed’s expressions. “Oh it’s absolutely beautiful!” We got to drive the strip twice today, once on the way to the play and once on the way home.
Tomorrow my brother, Evan, flies in and joins us. He’s never RV’d with us. He is looking forward to it and we are too. The kids keep asking every day if Evan comes today.
