Las Vegas is one place I won’t let my kids go outside, even with walkie talkies. In fact, when we checked into the campground the owner told us to make sure to watch kids and lock all doors, including all our doors down below the motor home. He said, now that it’s so cold, the homeless are jumping the camp fence. They caught a guy last night. When we drove in, their were cops driving around the camp looking for him. We are shocked how cold it is here. We were expecting Vegas to have the warmest weather of everywhere we went. It’s that way in the Summer time, so it seems it should be in the Winter also. Yesterday was 40 degrees here, but honestly it felt much colder. I think it’s because there’s no humidity here. I was expecting to be able to take kids to the pool, but there was just no way. Even the hot tub was out, because who wants to walk back in wet suits.

Thank you, Amazon. Thank you also, Shupes, for introducing us to this very cool show. This morning, of all mornings, my kids completed school at the speed of lightning like angels. As soon as they were done, they started bouncing off the walls, of course. We had to break out the Odd Squad dvd.

The last time we were in Vegas, we ordered an enormous pizza. The kids talk all the time about that pizza. We called the pizza place, but they weren’t making any more big ones last night. Luckily there are lots of options here. We found another that tasted just as good.

Today, we did school, did puzzles, read books, watched Odd Squad and made paper airplanes that soon became weapons. Brandon was busy working. He has a lot on his plate right now. To top it all off, we realized the electric wasn’t working on our campsite. Our electricity had been running off our battery. So anyways, the campground offered to move us to a new site. We went to close up the camper to move, and the slide-out was off(meaning it won’t shut). We can’t drive it with the slide outs out, obviously. So there’s no moving camp sites for us. We found a repair guy who will come to us, but not until tomorrow. I’m praying he can fix it tomorrow and we don’t need to wait around for 2 days for parts. The last time this happened, the slide was very expensive to fix. That was in Michigan. This is in Las Vegas.
Sometimes you just have to forget about problems and go out and do something. We are on our way to the Hoover Dam. I’m excited to have some fun and make some memories.
