Yesterday was mostly a travel day. We woke up and hiked up a mountain before leaving Hill County. We had nine hours of driving to do yesterday. Our kids are kind of like dogs. Because we exercised them and walked them, they traveled pretty well. It wasn’t until the last hour that they started to get hyper and antsy.
We drove through El Paso, on our way to sleep in New Mexico. We were shocked how huge it was. We were driving through dessert and the middle of nowhere, then all the sudden comes this huge city.
We needed to stop and get groceries. I hadn’t restocked on anything for a week, since we were staying 1.5 hours from a grocery store. So we chose Walmart. Most of the time, their parking lots are huge and easy for us to park the motor home. This parking lot was PACKED. There were swarms and swarms of people. It was possibly my most stressful shop at Walmart. It wasn’t just a quick shop, I had to get a cart full. We could barely get through the aisles. There were so many people.
One funny thing happened that I’ll highlight. We were walking through an aisle and this adorable little girl was speaking very fast and very fluent Spanish. Brielle walks right over to her and says “hola me amiga.” Her mom and I looked at each other and died. It was hilarious.
We slept at a campground in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We don’t get there until late, so we couldn’t do much exploring. I did walk around and look down at the view of the city lit up.

It was dark, but it was really pretty.
Today we are driving to Utah. The drive is really pretty(if you can ignore the bugs splatters on our windshield).

Today, my kids have not been walked or exercised. You can all pray for me. Brandon got up at 5am and started driving us. Kids didn’t wake up until 7:30(mountain time). So we got a good portion of the trip out of the way already.
