We had the best time at our stay in Little Rock, on our drive to Texas. We visited our friends, the Shupes. We picked up our van(which they were borrowing since they hit a deer while visiting Michigan). We stayed for five days. We crammed a lot into those five days, but at the same time we kept it simple. It was relaxing and refreshing. We got here Friday afternoon. Monday morning was the first that I had all four kids to myself(we split families up and each did school separately). I told Arin that I forgot what it was like to be a mother. Up until Monday morning, I enjoyed my kid free freedom. The older girls, along with Paul and Arin are so helpful and interactive with my kids. Monday, Brandon flew to Chicago for a meeting. He was gone all day, but able to be gone for only one full day and no overnights.

We loved the weather here. It was a little cold at night, but during the day it was very nice. We spent lots of time outside.

Walking back from jumping on the neighbors trampoline.

Unfortunately, our motor home fridge quit working. It was quite the ordeal. We had to take the entire motor home door and frame off the motor home, just to get the fridge out. We were in the perfect spot for it to happen. We were able to put all our food in the Shupes freezer and fridge. Paul helped Brandon all day. They went and bought a new fridge and installed it.

We had picnics on the front porch, with neighbor kids also. The Shupes are such incredible hosts and the neighborhood kids love hanging out here too.

The kids made forts together in the woods.

They did lots of hover-boarding.

They made homemade slime.

Brandon brought the kids back giant candy that he got in Chicago, on the day he flew there.

We got ice cream at the Shupes favorite ice cream place.

We went to church together on Sunday.

We had family devotions together every day.

I got to go out on a two hour lunch date with sweet little Luella. I love this kid. I told her she could pick anywhere in Little Rock to go. She picked Subway. She’s obviously very low maintenance. We had a great time together.
We are so thankful for our time together and the memories made. Now we are on to Dallas, Texas.
