Here’s a summary of life lately……

The culprit
She is cute, but she is an energetic little firecracker. I love that she’s getting a little more independent and playing by herself these days. I love organizing and getting projects done, especially since we traveled for several months. There’s so many things to do around home. Well there’s only one problem….this little trouble maker. She plays nicely then boom! She’s literally as fast as lightning. She’s also as quiet as a little church mouse when she needs to be. As soon as she’s caught she takes off running like a track star. I seriously can’t catch her. She bolts wherever she can to avoid facing me.
Several people have asked if I threw the hair bows away. No, I did not. I have just enough Mennonite in me to be too cheap and frugal. I threw them directly into the bathtub. I filled it with hot water and used around 1/3 of a bottle of dish soap. I scrubbed them up to my standards. Then I finished up by spraying them with a disinfectant and letting them dry overnight. Good as new!
We rode a Polar Express train ride in Ohio. It was an early Christmas gift from Brandon’s mom to us. We all loved the train. Brandon wasn’t overly thrilled about the matching pajamas. He was a little bit of a negative Nellie. But he changed his attitude and ended up having a great time. The kids were all joining the elves and singing and dancing. Caed said “this is better than Christmas.” Joah said “this is so much better than I thought it would be.”

We took family pictures last week. After pictures, we headed to Frankenmuth to eat at The Brewery. Our dinner took a little while, since it was Friday night. We took the kids to the Birch Run theatre afterwards to see Frozen 2(it was opening night). We didn’t get to the theatre until 8pm, and they were sold out until the 10pm showing. Isla started crying and crying. It was so funny. She really understood and knew she was going to miss out. We were going to just drive home, but decided to try Saginaw. Turns out they still had tickets for the 8:30 showing. It was still a late night, but not as late. Isla stayed awake the entire movie. She refused to miss out.

Brielle was so excited to see the movie. She kept kissing Brandon during dinner. One more reason I was glad Saginaw still had tickets.

We went to a birthday party this past weekend.

Brielle got to have a sleepover with one of her little friends.

Its been a great couple weeks. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. This is my favorite time of year. I love the holidays. I love family get togethers and memory making. We are headed to Indiana to celebrate Thanksgiving with my mom’s side of the family. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! God’s blessing’s to you this holiday season!
