Joah came inside the RV today(after playing outside on our campsite) devastated and very upset. He said, “mom, something very very bad has happened. I mean very bad. We’re talking super super bad.” I asked what in the world happened. He said “my sand dollar just broke.” I asked well how did it break? His response “well, I just took my baseball bat to it.” I think my face looked something like this 😳 before looking like this 🤣🤦♀️. I asked him what he thought was going to happen when he hit it with the bat. He said, “well, I know you and dad both said sand dollars are very breakable, but I didn’t believe you.” Yes, he is that child. He learns things the hard way. I told Brandon we can just give Joah Isla’s sand dollar. She doesn’t care. Brandon said, nope, we’re going to let him learn this lesson the hard way. We’ve been to several beaches on this trip. The only beach that we were successful in finding whole sand dollars was Hilton Head Island. It will be a long time until we get there again, unfortunately.

Speaking of beaches, we had the best time at Pensacola Beach. I wasn’t expecting such a nice beach. The water was so clear. The sand was white, with no seaweed at all. There were tons of people there, but even that didn’t discourage me.

We caught several fish. There were so many fish swimming all around us. The kids used their little green buckets and caught around 6 or 7 fish. Poor fish got a little extra care, aka sand dumped on them, from Isla and Caed. We let them go before we left, so they wouldn’t die. We also saw a cray fish and a jellyfish.

I didn’t get a picture of a jellyfish, so Brielle made one for us to remember him. This girl has been so into crafts lately. She spends hours coloring, drawing, and making things each day.

She even made me this school workbook. Notice all the detail. I sign my name at the top. I write my letters in the boxes. I write Brielle in the big box. Then at the bottom, I trace my letters. She made all the letters from A-Z. She put about 45 minutes of time into this.

We cant forget her latest obsession, Spongbob characters. Thank you Lance and Grant for introducing the kids, and bringing the joy of Spongbob to our lives.

We all worked together yesterday and washed all of our seashells we’ve collected from different beaches. Here they all are. We have plans to make center pieces for people, along with filling a jar for each kid as a keep sake.

We walked around Birmingham today, after Brandon’s store training, and saw a few historic things.

Its nice to be out of the Florida heat. So far, Alabama hasn’t been too unbearable.
