Louisiana

244B94ED-06EC-4E77-8D5C-9563D2FF8178.jpegWe traveled from Texas to Louisiana, and have been staying there the last few days.

I thought they tasted much better this time than last time. Last time they tasted really gamey to me. This time they tasted like chicken….probably because we got them deep fried instead of grilled .

BF801811-545A-4D51-8E02-6A8FB751DBEF.jpegWe have been doing lots of swimming.

6C6CFAD9-4518-433E-8BB6-23E17DA65F02.jpegThe very coolest thing we did during our stay in Louisiana was a swamp boat tour.

38BAAC08-77B9-4276-B106-9C6EEB3E9FD4.jpegOn the walk in, we found(what we learned later from our tour guide) the biggest grasshopper in the USA. This is only a baby. They get twice as big. Joah picked him up, then threw him and he grabbed onto my shirt. I mildly panicked. Isn’t Joah hilarious? Like father like son. 🤦‍♀️

93AE6EEB-B2C7-496A-ADCC-42C8BFD7593E.jpegI couldn’t believe how many alligators we saw on our boat tour. We easily spotted over 30 of them.

ADAAB32C-D0E5-40EB-87A8-08971EACA485.jpegWe saw some other animals too.

Here are some crawfish.

The swamp theme looked so cool.

They had ducks that would swim in the pond, then get out and walk through the store.

Joah loved looking at the hogs.

They had a huge turtle.

And lots of fish.

Now today we are on our way to Missouri. We have a 12 hour drive ahead of us. Luckily our kids are pretty exhausted and wore out. I took them swimming this morning during Brabdon’s store training, so they would travel well today. At least that is the hope!
