Waco

Today Brandon’s store training was in Waco. We all went with him, so we could go to Magnolia Market after. We made sure to time it this year to not go during their Spring in the Silos event. It just happened that last year when we went, we went right during this event. Big oops. I couldn’t even hardly enjoy it, because I literally couldn’t move around the store. We realized quickly the two double strollers were not going to be pushed through the store that day. 🤣 Brandon waited outside and fed the kids popcorn. I went inside and shopped/shoved people out of my way.

In case anyone is wanting to see what a rest stop in waco looks like, here you go.

Fhe havertys store(that Brandon trained at) was in a shopping center. I walked the kids down the shopping center during Brandon’s Store training. We walked outside awhile and we went in a few stores.

We went in a real cowboy boot store. Joah asked me when we walked in “is that the smell of fresh leather?” 🤣

The one store we went in had some very unique school materials. Joah just finished a 1st grade reading comprehension book, so I got him a 2nd grade one. I picked up a PK book for Caed to use this Fall. He hasn’t had much interest in anything school related, and I have plans to start working with him this Fall. I also got a couple books for us to read through together. One of my kids favorite shows is Wild Kratts. They all love learning about animals. All of them are also very interested in plants and seeds, and I thought Hungry Plants would be a good book to read together.

After Brandon’s store training was done, we headed over to Magnolia Table to put our name in. Good thing we did, because it was a 2 hour wait. I thought being a Monday we would be fine, but I was wrong. They are always busy apparently. We put our name in, then headed over to Magnolia Market. Brandon dropped me off. He put a dvd in for the kids and Isla fell asleep. That left me time to shop all by myself. It was beautiful!

This time they were way less busy, although there were still lots of people.

I actually got to look around this time and enjoy it.

I picked up a copy of this book. I’m excited to read it with the kids.

I got this bag for myself.

I got his cute cactus to put above our cabinet. We have souvenirs up there that help remind us of our travels. This will remind us of our trip to Texas.
