We told the kids we were going to take them to see waterliles. All three of the older kids asked if they can jump on them. I blame Splash Village(an indoor water park near us with lily pads to jump across). We explained that these will be different. They are just to look at.

Now, I’m no nature expert but I can tell you this…they were very pretty to look at.

We went on a little nature walk after.
We saw an old bridge.
We walked around the rose garden.
The kids took lots of pictures.
Next, we toured Fort Concho.
We saw the officers’ quarters.

An example of a meal setting.

The schoolhouse and chapel.

The hospital was cool to see. Here is the bathroom.
The hospital beds, complete with a coffin in the corner.
The hospital bathtub.

We noticed a tree that had fallen, but was still growing. We snapped some pictures.

We came back to the campground and made tacos for dinner. Then we finished the night off with a swim.

After swimming we settled down by watching a Wild Kratts episode. Papaw Bill surprised the kids with some new books, so the night ended reading and watching the show.
Side note….we have figured out why Isla says the word “bubble” all the time. She is trying to say Brielle. She yells “bubble bubble” every time she sees Brielle. 🤣
