We did a couple of fun things yesterday. We had a very full day. Brandon had his store training in the morning(which ran late), then we had a six hour drive to Amarillo, Texas. When we got to the campground, we recognized it right away. It was one of our favorite campgrounds we stayed at on our last trip. They have some unique things, including this camp beauty.
I’ve always loved horses. She let us go right up to her and pet her. She was so sweet and gentle with Isla. Isla was amazed. She kept looking up and saying “horsie.”
She was so so sweet and friendly. We couldn’t get enough of her.
We loaded up in the van and went to The Cadillac Ranch. It’s basically some old cars berried in the ground and spray painted. They were really fun to see.

After the Cadillac Ranch, came the highlight of our night. We didn’t know this ahead of time, but our campground parnered with The Big Texan Restaraunt and offered a free limo ride for families from the camp to the restaraunt. The limo ride was a first for all of us. If you look closely you can see the big Texas Longhorns on the front of the limo. I meant to take more pictures, but it got a little crazy installing all the car seats. The older kids were taking a ton of pictures on their V-Tech cameras.
We had been to The Big Texan once before and loved it. It’s a huge tourist attraction restaurant that offeres a steak challenge. If you can eat a 72 ounce steak in an hour, you get it for free. Our whole family did the steak challenge last time and we didn’t even come close. We chose to order cheaper this time. It was still very good.
There were some men sitting up by the grill, doing the steak challenge.

It was fun ordering kids meals this time, because the food came in cowboy hats. Caed kept tipping his hat and saying “yeehaw!”
We walked around a little while at the restaraunt. You really have to if you want to see everything.

When we were done, we loaded back in our limo and headed back to camp. It was such a fun night!
