Sioux Falls

Waterfalls are one of my favorite things to see. I think Isla is following in my footsteps. Last night and tonight she stood in amazement and kept pointing and saying “water.” I’m thankful we got to see two different water falls in just two days.

I made Joah do school first thing in the morning. I’ve found that works better since it’s been warmer outside. He flies through his work, knowing he can head outside as soon as it’s done.

It really puts in perspective how fast kids grow. From one season to the next, she grew from baby to toddler. She is so fun to watch. She loves to learn and explore. She tries to keep up with her siblings. She wants to walk all the time, and she pretty much keeps up with everyone else. Last night after climbing down a huge flight of steps and seeing Minihaha Falls, we had to climb back up around 100 steps. I ran ahead and raced the older three kids up the steps. Brandon stayed and climbed with Isla. He said she insisted on doing all 100 of those steps by herself.

None of the baskets were from Brandon and myself. Their grandparents and aunt spoil them rotten enough. The baskets have provided us with RV snacks. The kids love getting special snacks when we travel.

Later on Joah lost the same privledge from Brandon(who was unaware he already lost it). Joah goes “dad, too late. Mom already took away my snack. You’ll have to think of something else.” lol I love that child for his honesty. It is literally his best feature. He is so trustworthy. If I am out of the room and I need to know exactly what happened, I can always count on Joah to tell me the honest truth even if he is the one in the wrong. Brandon asked Joah what he should lose since the snack was already taken. He said “why don’t you take away some of my money, dad. That’s the worst thing you could possibly do to me because I’m a saver.” Like I said, I love that child’s honesty.
