One of the highlights of our week was these resurrection eggs. Grandma Yowler gave them to the kids. We did them over and over and over. The one day we did them five times. They asked so many questions and learned so many details of the Easter story.
As a part of our school day, I had the kids do a summery of what they learned about the Easter story from the eggs. They each wrote a book.
They also each made drew some Easter eggs. My favorite was Joah’s. He wrote about the mighty power of God.
The kids also made some adorable crafts at MOPS this week.
One quick little story about MOPS this week. Brielle got herself dressed and came out ready to go to MOPS in this dress. I asked her why so dressy? Her embarrassed look and silence made me question further. I finally got out of her the answer. She wanted to look nice because her friend Boaz goes to MOPS too.
One more quick little story that happened this week. Notice how Joah is nowhere near these goats. He was recovering from some trauma. Grandpa Lyle got a new billy goat. Joah was introducing me to his new friend. He jumped in the pen and that billy goat immediately charged and head butted him into the corner. Joah was screaming and crying dramatically. I did not heroically jump in the pen and save him. No I did not. I did chose not to video the whole ordeal though. Instead, I was yelling at Joah to push the goat back and come over to the gate where I could reach him. My favorite part of the whole thing was when Joan yelled “ok ok. You win. You’re stronger than I am, goat!” He managed to make it to the gate and I grabbed him and pulled him out. Joah hasn’t been back in the pen since.
We made it to Midland this week to Dow Gardens. I have always wanted to go to the Butterflies in Bloom event, but we’ve never gone. It was great. The kids loved it.

Isla liked looking at them a lot better then touching them, as you can see.

After seeing the butterflies, we did the canopy walk. It was awesome.

Yesterday, Saturday, my mom was gracious enough to watch the kids all day. She colored eggs with them and made nests with them. Brandon and I took the entire day and cleaned and organized the RV. That was quite a job. We got it ready for our upcoming travels. I feel SO much better now that that’s done. We got a ton done. Why I wasn’t the most efficient, productive person before children I’ll never know. It’s amazing what I can get done without them these days.
Happy Easter everyone! Today looked different for us then a typical Easter. We spent the day driving to and from Ohio to visit the Yowler side of the family.
Brandon’s grandma has had several health things going on. We wanted to come see her and spend Easter with her. We wanted to make sure we saw her before all of our upcoming travels. I love this woman. She always has a smart little comment to say about Brandon. I connected with her when I first met her. I love her sense of humor and her wit.
We had a very nice family gathering at Brandons uncle’s house.

We can’t go anywhere without Isla’s bitty baby, Charlie.
They love aunt Bethany.
Like I said before, today was different then most Easter’s. We didn’t spend it with our church family. We still had a great Easter. I’m so thankful my God is not dead. He’s surely alive!
