Everyone should have two children. It is absolutely magnificent. I am obviously just joking. I also know that two kids is still challenging. I’m not trying to under value any mother’s job, no matter how many children. Because of where I’m at as a mother of four kids, two seems like such a breath of fresh air. There is less fighting. There’s less people to feed and bath. I have a hand for each of them when we got places. There’s a strong chance I can catch some rest during nap time. It’s just beautiful.
Grandma Yowler has graciously kept my boys in Ohio all week. Now I love those boys to death. I even miss them slightly. But this week has been so refreshing. I’ve been able to spend quality time with the girls. I know the boys are in great hands. They are doing all sorts of fun things including library visits, nature center visits, playing at parks, visiting a museum, swimming, playing with cousins, seeing the new Dumbo movie, plus grandma is keeping up with Joah’s school. She taught first grade for a long time and she is a pro.

See all those trees the girls are climbing on? We had some trees chopped down around our house this week. We are clearing space to put some grass in. I have missed having a yard since we moved into the cabin. The kids need some grass to run on and stain their jeans on. Quite frankly I’ll take the grass stains over sand everywhere any day.

I was able to take Brielle for some one on one time to the spa to get her nails done. It was so much fun for her. I love that she can climb trees, but also loves her girly girl time.

We walked around Frankenmuth after.
We picked out a treat for the boys when they come home. Don’t mind my messy van floor.
We had fun walking around the outlet mall.
I love my MOPS craft from today. How perfect are these two sayings for the season I’m in right now? I’m definitely framing them as reminders.

Tonight we celebrated Grandpa Gascho’s birthday. Brielle wanted to decorate her very own cake for him. I let her and she chose an animal pasture. 🤣 we also decorated an ice cream cake with farm animals. We love visiting grandmpa’s goats and chickens.

There was some block fort making at grandpa’s party. I have memories of making all kinds of forts and farms at my grandpa and grandma Gascho’s house. They had a big container of animals and a big set of blocks. There was lots of creative play, and I was excited to see my kids making these same memories.
I’m having so much fun with my girls. I am trying to resist my urge to get things done. This is always a struggle for me. I’m trying to really spend quality time and take advantage of the extra time and care I can give them. We have played lots of dolls and house. We have made lots of crafts and read lots of books. I’m so thankful for these memories.
