I forgot to include a couple stories from yesterday. When we were visiting the grotto(which is apparently very holy and sacred to the Catholic Church) yesterday, we had to park across the street. It was starting to drizzle. We were unloading the kids when we realized Caed had his hand outside the van door for quite some time flipping off everyone who was driving by. Now Caed has been using his middle finger since he could point as his pointer. We refuse to correct him, because we’re terrible parents and laugh. Brandon asked Caed what he was doing. Caed said, “I am feeling this rain, dad.” I’m really sorry to those passing by who saw my 3 year old giving them the bird.
Another thing that happened was Brielle had to pass a swim test before they would let her slide down the big water slide in the water park. She had to swim all the way accross the deep end and back by herself with no life jacket. I watched her as the lifeguard instructed her. It was loud in the water park and I couldn’t hear. I saw the lifeguard talk to her, then she came over to me crying. I figured she didn’t pass and she was embarrassed. I said “Brielle, it’s ok. You tried your hardest and you’re still very little. No big deal!” She said “mom, I got water up my nose and it’s the worst day ever.” 🤦♀️ She passed…..dramatically, but she passed.
This morning started off very early. Brandon didn’t realize our hotel was so far from his training. All of us had to wake up at 6am and leave with him. We all grabbed fruit from the hotel for breakfast and rushed out the door. Luckily there was a McDonald’s with a huge play place right beside Brandon’s training. I took the kids and let them play while he trained.

Brandon actually had two store trainings. We were at the play place a long time. Brielle made a friend. They played for two hours. Her grandma was so glad and said this is really helping their day to go fast. Usually her granddaughter doesn’t have anyone to play with.

A lady who worked at McDonald’s overheard me say I homeschooled my kids. She was so encouraging and talked so highly of it. She kept bringing us so many papers and neat activities. She said most people just passed them by. She loved how I was reading the backs of the animal cutout sheets to the kids. They learned lots of animal facts.
We made lots of animals, and she gave us several sheets to go.
After those two trainings, we drove with Brandon to set up for his training tomorrow. He had lots to things to set up and get ready. We waited in the car. As soon as he left children started piping up. I had two peeers and one pooper. Just as I was stressing about where to take them, a puker arose. Little Isla struggles with getting car sick. Puke everywhere!!!🤦♀️ Yay! I cleaned then drove down the parking lot and chose between a toy store and a fresh fruit market. Fresh fruit market it was. We walked in and it was so cool. They had little child shopping carts. They had a bin of fruit for each kid to choose a piece. I couldn’t just come in, use their bathroom, and take free fruit for each child. We bought a nice healthy snack for tomorrow between swims. These kids can kill the berries.
Tonight we have a huge surprise for the kids. We have been really talking it up. We have gotten all kinds of guesses from going to Walmart, to Cabelas, to a Detroit Tigers game. I am just as excited about this as the kids. I can’t wait to tell them in just a couple hours. Will blog about it later.
