Cabin Fever

Here I am already, just a couple days later,  feeling cabin fever. I’ve realized something. It’s definitely harder for me to stay home all day then load up and go somewhere. I love going places. I especially love going places when I don’t have to pack anything. Day time outings are the best.

I think every single mom in Michigan is feeling like a homeschool mom lately. Having cooped up kids inside all day is exhausting. I obviously homeschool, but I’ve really been feeling it lately. All this snow and ice really effects my mood, and I’m fairly positive it makes my kids more hyper.

Brielle loves to help in the kitchen. Here she is mashing potatoes totally by herself. I told her keep mixing until there were no more chunks and slowly keep adding milk. She followed directions very well.

I went through the same thing that when Joah turned five. There is something about a five year old that no longer seems babyish at all. They have crossed into childhood, and I’m pretty emotional about it. Even still, every night she begs to sleep in my bed. She takes over the entire bed, making sure to turn sideways and steal Brandon’s spot too. We are both suckers. Some day I will miss and cherish these times. Time slow down!
