Life as a Yowler

Today started with a classy breakfast. It wasn’t your typical hotel breakfast. This was in a restaurant. Brandon is a gold member at this hotel and gets one guest for free.  Kids six and under were also free, so we still had a complimentary breakfast. We were slightly different than the other costumers eating though, as we got up a total of seven times to use the bathroom during breakfast.

We went swimming after breakfast, while Brandon got ready to head out for his business meeting.

We swam for a long time, trying to get everyone’s energy out.

After our swim, we came back to our room to shower and get ready to head to the Mall of America. It’s become one of our favorite places to go. We waited for Brandon to get done working and come get us.

We always have to stop by the American Girl store when we visit the mall. We were so sad to learn that they are closing this location. There will no longer be an AG store at the Mall of America starting in March.

We got in as much play as we could. We will have to rely on aunt Bethany now to take Bri to the Columbus location.

They have the cutest little play area in each store. Even Caed loves it, although he is starting to get embarrassed thanks to his older brother telling him it’s just for girls.

We walked around the Crayola store. We did the Crayola factory tour on our last trip to the mall. It was awesome and my kids have since been into coloring with Crayola crayons and markers, especially Joah. He loves to color.

We let Brielle decide where to eat dinner since she has a birthday coming up on Valentines Day. She wanted Rainforest Cafe. The boys wanted Bubba Gump. Caed “only like Bubble Gump because shrimp is his very favorite.” They were only disappointed for a couple minutes until the rainforest experienced it’s first storm. Then they were amazed.

Brielle got a special birthday cupcake.

We have some exhausted kids tonight.
