We are staying at the second largest KOA in the nation, The Mount Rushmore KOA. However, because of the location we don’t have cell service or internet. So this blog will have to be short and sweet, as I’m writing it between sites we are seeing today.
Yesterday we went to Badlands National Park. There were WAY more people there than five weeks ago when we were there. I don’t like people and I don’t like crowds, but I do need to watch myself and not voice that. Joah said “mom if you don’t like people that means you don’t like us so what are you trying to tell me?” I tried my best to explain my way out of that one.

We also drove through Needles. Check out this tight squeeze. I would crack a your mom joke, but I can’t crack one to the kids because I’m speaking about myself. I can’t crack one to lance and grant because that’s also my mom. I can’t crack one about Brandon’s mom because she reads this.

We went to Mount Rushmore in the rain, which was fantastic because it kept the people away. We only got a little wet. It’s such a great place to visit. It’s our second time there, and lance and Grant’s first time.
We creamed a deer on the drive home last night. Brandon managed to hit it at just the right angle to not do any damage at all to the suburban. Nice job honey!!! The doe didn’t survive the hit. Brielle was so mad at Brandon. She said, “dad, I bet that doe was some little fawn’s mom.” Joah said “it’s ok Brielle. I bet that fawn has an aunt who will adopt him.”
Nothing else too eventful happened yesterday other than Joah cranked a huge one right in this poor lady’s face. She was sitting down and right as he walked by he ripped an extremely loud one. I couldn’t even believe it. I also couldn’t even apologize because I was dying. Luckily she was a great sport about it and was also dying laughing. Brandon managed to say “I’m very sorry.” We walked along our way. Brandon yelled at Joah. He said “Dad, I just don’t know what happened to me. Mom must have fed me something weird.” This is real life people. We are literally a zoo.
