It.Is.Hot!!!!

F0BC179F-EEF2-45CF-8810-939301ED09C9.jpegThe last time we traveled this way, it wasn’t nearly as hot. Anyone who knows my husband knows he keeps our house and RV like an ice box. Well driving on this almost 100 degree day through Minnesota, our RV air conditioners(notice the plural….there are two of them) can’t keep this sucker cold. It’s been 80 degrees in here, leaving even me and the kids longing for Brandon’s famous ice box.

Anyone who knows my husband knows that not only does he like things as cold as Iceland, he is a problem solver as well. What does he come up with you ask? A Walmart stop to buy a portable air conditioner. Guess what…..They are out of them. Good news there is an Ace Hardware down the road. They are out of them too. More good news…..there is a Home Depot down the road. And guess what….they have them.

Brandon goes in and grabs one and starts setting it up. He then realizes we have no outlet that will work to plug it in without an extension cord. He runs in and gets an extension cord. He comes back and realizes it’s the wrong cord after tearing open the package. He is too embarrassed to go return it since he was just in there so he sends Lance. Lance too fails. He buys a two prong instead of a three. Lance is too embarsssed to go back and return it since he was just in there. So we send Grant. I was in line to go next if Grant failed….but guess what….he did not. He came out victorious with the right extension cord. An hour and a half later we have air!

I can just throw the kids over, but myself….it’s not quite so easy. There’s no creative solution other than to climb over and pray Brandon doesn’t slam on the breaks. Lance and Grant are a couple of ninjas so it isn’t an issue for them.

This morning we decided to take our time leaving and enjoy the campground. We went swimming and let the kids run and play at the park.

No I do not. It keeps them occupied plus they are being creative.
