Its been a tough week. I am so thankful for God’s hand of protection over and over. Our family is so blessed. I have had several stressful things happen this week and I nearly had about four heart attacks.
On Monday night Brielle had a four wheeling accident. Her and Joah were riding around the driveway. Joah stopped and Bri wasn’t paying attention. She ran into the back of his four wheeler and flipped over the handle bars of hers. Joah ran and got me right away. Brielle was laying on the ground with the wind knocked out of her. I was yelling her name and finally she snapped back into reality. She was disoriented, but totally fine other than some scrapes on her forehead.

This picture sums up Brielle’s personality well. She is an uncooperative little firecracker, but I love her so much. She is a mixture of the sweetest and feistiest girl ever 😊
Thursday we had Katie come take pictures. I was reminded how great life is and how blessed I am.

Friday is when our basement flooded. I already blogged about that. The good news is everything is dry and nothing was ruined. I was home and I was able to get everything out of the way in time. The kids are thankful to have their playroom back again. It’s amazing how small this house feels without access to the basement. I send the kids down often to give them space to play and be crazy, and to give me some sanity.

Joah have us a huge scare last night. He was climbing a tree and one of the branches broke. He fell out of the tree and hit his back hard. He was very worked up and complaining about his heart hurting. He was breathing really heavy. I helped him get a bath then turned on a movie for him. We had determined to give him until the end of the movie before we were going to take him to the ER. He had calmed down. I think he had a panic attack. Poor guy. I checked on him all throughout the night which meant neither one of us got much sleep.
Today we went to church then after church Brandon got a load of gravel and spread it on our driveway. He worked about three hours.

Tonight we smelled something really hot and traced it to our back bathroom. The light was turned on and it was smoking really bad. Luckily we caught it before it started on fire. We have no idea what happened. It was an energy effiecient lightbulb that was burning.
Its just been one of those weeks. I am just so thankful for God’s protection. He is so good to us. I have held my kids much closer. Life is fragile and we aren’t guaranteed another day. I’m thankful for each day I’m given!
