Four Corners Monument in New Mexico

None of us had ever been to New Mexico before, so visiting Four Corners, along with visiting New Mexico, was a first for all of us.

IMG_8797We took a family picture in all four states at once.

IMG_8790.JPGWe also took a picture with each kid in a different state. Joah booked it and claimed Utah right away. Brielle wanted Colorado. Caed wanted New Mexico(he actually wanted Colorado too but Brandon bribed him with a piece of pizza). Isla was content to lay and sunbath in Arizona. Brielle had just happened to grab a dish towel and carried it on the walk, so it worked out perfectly. I didn’t want to lay Isla on the hot cement.

We all walked around after checking out the Four Corners monument. There were tons of little stands set up. We let the kids each get a hand made whistle. I’m always so brilliant in my choices I let them make. I figure the kids are going to make tons of noise regardless, so I guess I’ll just let them have fun.  We got some Navajo Tacos from a little food cart for lunch. They were really good.

IMG_8784.JPGCaed and Brielle didn’t want tacos. They wanted salad instead. Caed also got his piece of pizza Brandon bribed him with.

IMG_8795.JPGThe campground we are staying at had these bikes you could ride. Joah was very excited because his bike has two flat tires.

IMG_8793.JPGJust your average 3 burros in Tupperware boxes on the counter. You never know what you will find around this place.

Driving through all these mountains and hills you never know what sort of spills will happen. This time it was veggie straws. Joah just happened to leave them on his bed. His bed is right across from the pantry cupboard and he loves to sneak snacks in his bed while I’m not looking.
