We spent two days in Cedar City, Utah. Brandon has a cousin who lives there. He married a girl named Jessica and her family runs a steel manufacturing business. They have RV hookup at their house, and we were able to stay right at their house in our RV. We had stayed there for a couple weeks two years ago. Brandon brought us all out and he went elk hunting, so we got to know Jessica’s family then. They welcomed us right back. They were glad to see us and we were glad to see them. Mrs, Bybee treated my children like her own. She is an educater and enjoys teaching kids. She worked with Joah and encouraged me that he’s very smart and will do very very well this Fall when we start school. He already has a huge head start on reading.
The very first night we were there she had a little reading party for Joah. She had him read out loud from a book for us all. Everyone shook his hand and congratulated him on leaning to read. We had root beer floats and she even gave him a gift.
She gave him his very own children’s dictionary and a children’s thesaurus to use when we start school this Fall. He was so excited and has been sleeping with his books. He felt very special and proud of himself for reading.
We played outside a lot. The kids caught hundreds of caterpillars. Those poor poor caterpillars.

We went for walks.
Played with sidewalk chalk.
Mrs Bybee thought the kids might enjoy writing their letters in shaving cream. Some children would have written letters nicely…….then there’s my children.
Jonathan taught Joah how to yo-yo
We climbed trees…even Jasmine.
The Bybee’s invites a family member over who had two young boys for my kids to play with. The kids all got along great. Joah was excited to make a new friend.
A huge highlight for the kids was when Brandon’s cousin, Jonathan took them for a ride in a retired army truck.

Caed is usually timid about rides, but he didn’t want to miss out on all the fun. He loved it.
We had a great time. The Bybee’s were so welcoming. They really went all out. They made us so much great food and made us feel so at home.
