Life as a Yowler

We traveled from Salt Lake to Arches today after Brandon’s store training. We had a late night last night, so the kids were tired today. We let them play at he park this morning before driving.  Great parenting tip that I’m about to admit….offer to pay the non napping kids if they fall asleep. Like I said, we are great parents! For those of you judging I do force them to nap sometimes. We don’t usually pay them. It worked on Brielle. That girl will do anything for $1. She is our little entrepreneur. She’s really saving for Disney. Joah gave it a great effort, but just couldnt sleep. Bummer for him. The three youngest slept at least and we had a very quiet drive because Joah rested then colored.

Caed wanted a necklace like Brielle….mountains and molehills people.

We had the most beautiful drive. I was able to enjoy it with all the napping kids.

Grandma decided to give Caed his birthday gift early. She got him a camera. We wanted him to have it for the rest of the trip to take pictures like his older brother and sister. He was so excited.

This campground is beautiful! You can see the view from anywhere in the campground.

We made dinner then headed to Arches National Park. We picked the perfect time to go. It wasn’t busy and the weather was perfect. It was incredible!

Caed kept taking pictures and telling the rocks, “say cheese!”

Our time at Arches got cut just a little short. Brandon was walking with Brielle on his shoulders. They were whistling and talking and bonding. All the sudden Brandon stops and looks concerned. He says, “Brielle what just happened?” No answer. He lifts her off his shoulders and his nightmare is confirmed. She peed on him…..a nice big pee she had been holding until the last minute all down his back. Brandon didn’t say one word to her because I stopped him. Brielle was crying hysterically. I asked her what was wrong and she said, “daddy really hurt my feelings.” I guess she got the idea Brandon wasn’t thrilled even though he never even said a word. 😂
