We are thankful to be almost home. There have been a few bumps along the way. Traffic was horrible all the way to Atlanta. Lots of people were traveling home after Spring Break. There was also a bad accident with a car on fire. There was standstill traffic for awhile. When we finally got on the other side of Atlanta, Brandon had to stop to get gas. This happened….
He was trying to make the turn to pull up to the gas pump. It was obviously tight, more so than usual. It was 8:30 and we still hadn’t eaten dinner, so we were all on edge. I went to make sandwiches for dinner earlier and the entire loaf of bread was moldy. So there went the dinner plan. We had to wait and grab food when Brandon stopped for gas. I got out and was panicking a little when I saw he couldn’t make the turn. I went up to the window and told Brandon “I have no idea what to tell you to do. I don’t know if you need to go forward, reverse, left, or right. I was about to have a breakdown. This guy walks up and I’m not convinced he wasn’t an angel. He looked on both sides of the RV and goes, “oh boy…..” Then he just jumped right in without asking any questions. He knew exactly what he was doing. He told brandon which way to turn the wheel. He told him when to go forward and backwards. He got us out of that mess without even scratching the RV. He was my hero. We thanked him over and over and he just walked off.
Brandon ended up driving all night. He’s really anxious to get back, because we’ve been gone so long. His mom talked to him a lot throughout the night to keep him awake. I slept on and off. It was a very restless sleep, but I got more than any other adult and I’m thankful for that.
We got to Ohio this morning about 8:30 to drop Grandma off. Brandon slept for a few hours. We took the kids to visit Brandon’s grandparents.
They love playing cards with Papaw.
We let the kids ride bikes down in the basement to burn off some energy. They have WAY too much for just being in the sun and traveling so much.

They all loved Grandma’s Easter decorations.
Brandon only slept about 3 hours and was ready to finish the drive home. Can you tell we are excited to get home? Even the snow isn’t stopping us. I don’t think I’ll every complain about living in a small hunting cabin ever again. I love my home!
