Its hard to believe this week is coming to an end, and along with that our trip is coming to an end. We will have been gone 45 days by the time we get back to Michigan. Joah had a little meltdown tonight. He was crying and lashing out because he wanted to go home. Routine is all out of wack. Everyone has been sleeping much less than usual. Emotions are all over the place. Overall the kids have done very well, but Joah lost it tonight. We had a great talk. I helped him to shift his focus to the positive things and not dwell on the negative. We’ve done so many fun things and bonded as a family. Dad’s store trainings had a very positive outcome for the buisiness already. Plus we got out of a good portion of Winter. Today was a much needed restful day around camp. We’ve been on the go so much, and it felt good to sleep in and rest. We spent the morning packing everything up for the trip home. That didn’t take too long, and we were able to spend the rest of the morning swimming.
Joah was creative in how he hauled his boogie board to the pool.

The camp cooks made brunch this morning then a cookout lunch around the pool. At lunch Joah goes, “look, I’m a Texas longhorn.”
After lunch there was a bus load of kids that made a Goodwill run to get some things for tonight’s theme dinner. Joah went along. He picked things out for each member of the family. He is a very thoughtful little guy.
He got me this shirt. He got Grandma Lori a beautiful tie dye shirt.
He got Caed and Brielle candy dispensers.
My very favorite though is this shirt he picked for Brandon.
Tonight’s theme dinner was old people. It was a blast.
To say that the staff members, mainly Arin, Jessica, and Carlene, are creative is an understatement. They go to so much work and put so much thought into everything. I was cracking up at these decorations.

The cutest little old people. I just love these girls!
These kids really look their role seriously.
Sayge though. 🤣🤣🤣 I can’t even!
Tonight the I-Bug got to help dad for the ice breaker.
All the kids except 1 went up to help Brandon with an ice breaker. I won’t mention any names, but it just might have had to do with her uncooperation and over tiredness by that point in the evening every single evening this week. The good news is she always wakes up in a good mood in the morning. It will be good to get these kiddos back into their normal and regular schedule…for two weeks that is. Then we are picking right up again and leaving for another 40 days. I have mixed feelings, but overall I’m excited. I married Brandon and literally I’m along for the ride.
