Happy Easter

IMG_6042.JPGHe is risen indeed! Happy Easter from the Yowler’s. I’m so thankful I serve such a powerful God. My God’s not dead he’s surely alive!!!

This Easter was very different than most. We are still in Florida. Brandon is speaking this week at YFC camp. This is our 4th year now coming. It’s always an incredible week. God moves in powerful ways in the hearts of these kids.  We are so blessed by the youth. We have also built a community of staff families. I love living life together and watching our kids grow together. Each year we have more bonding experiences and memories.

This morning our entire group went to The First Baptist Orlando Church. We were even recognized in the service. Everyone clapped for the Florida Breakaway Youth for Christ group from Michigan. I loved the church service. It was a huge mega church. They had some awesome worship. It was so cool seeing Caed. He is a worshiper. He loves music and he was singing and praising. All the kids did great in the service. They sat still and listened. I asked Joah afterwards what his favorite part of the service was. He said it was the overance. I asked him what in the world the overance was. He said, “you know when the service was over.” He said big mega churches aren’t for him. He misses Pigeon River. I think he really loved it. He was just feeling homesick. He is really starting to miss Michigan.

After church we went out to eat at Sonny’s  . It wouldn’t be a trip to Florida without eating there. It also wouldn’t be a trip to a restaraunt without all 4 kids pooping like clockwork. I spent at least half of my time at Sonny’s in the bathroom.

IMG_6022.JPGWe’ve been eating our meals here at camp cafeteria style. We have some incredible cooks this week. They do amazing feeding such a big group. The food is always so good.

IMG_6046.JPGMy mom flew into Sarasota to visit her mom. Her sisters also flew to Florida. My grandma, my 2 aunts, and my mom drove to camp to visit us today. It was great seeing them. The kids have really missed Grandma Jeannie. We watched them swim in the pool.

IMG_6047.JPGIMG_6021.JPGMy kids had both of their grandmas here today because Brandon’s mom is still here helping me out this week. They were pretty excited. They love their grandma’s and have missed them. Isla has been getting a lot of love this week  a lot of the kids and staff want to hold her and love on her. I’m relieved she will let others hold her, because she only had mom for the last month.

IMG_6048.JPGJoah loves having uncle Grant here at camp. Grant is very good about including him. Tonight Joah got to hang out with the big boys during a game, then eat dinner sitting next to them.  He thought he was pretty big stuff.
