Brielle’s Birthday was on Valentine’s Day. We never had a birthday party because we’ve been holding out for The American Girl store. We went today. What a blast!
She has the doll Kit, so we took her along. They dressed in matching outfits. This morning I had Brielle dress her doll while I dressed Isla. She had a huge smile on her face. I told her we are both taking care of our babies.
Here is the Kit doll displayed in the store.
She was so excited to find even more Kits.
They had the cutest little play area in the store. There were dolls and accessories and a little playhouse. Caed loved it just as much as Brielle did.
Kit made a friend. I can see how parents go crazy in the store. There are just so many cute things. They had so many doll accessories. They had a bottle warmer and a baby monitor. They had car seats, diaper bags, diapers, wipes, cribs, changing tables, clothes, blankets, and pretty much everything in the play area. The kids were having a blast organizing the playhouse. I would have been in heaven as a little girl. I loved playing house and I loved dolls.

Isla liked the Bitty baby.
We ate lunch at The Bistro right there at the store.

It was the cutest restaurant. They had high chairs for the dolls. They also brought the dolls each a cup and plate that Brielle got to keep.

Joah was choosing a terrible attitude at the store. He was being ungrateful and disrespectful. During lunch he still hadn’t changed his attitude. We made him sit on this bench while the rest of the family went and ate lunch. We had sight of him the whole time because the bench was right in front of our table. The stubborn little son of a gun has an iron will sometimes. Instead of enjoying the birthday meal including cake with his family he was willfully choosing a bad attitude. We took his food to go. Finally when lunch was over he softened and came over and told us Jesus had worked on his heart. He changed his attitude and he apologized for his behavior. We let him eat his lunch on the ride home, but made him go all afternoon without snacks. And he didn’t get any cake until tonight after dinner.
They cut up the birthday cake for everyone and gave us each a piece of cake and scoop of ice cream.
Caed was loving it. They had some extra dolls in the restaurant for kids who don’t have one. Caed wanted to sit with one. Here he is with his loaner doll and highchair.
Brielle had some birthday money we saved for her for the store. I helped steer her to pick out one of Kit’s outfits. We chose Kit’s photographer outfit.
I also picked out Isla’s birthday present for her first birthday.
And Brandon got each girl a shirt and matching shirt for their dolls just because. He’s always been a generous gift giver. He thought it was cool it said American Girl Orlando.
We came home and spent the afternoon resting then swimming. We had a picnic dinner outside and just relaxed.
Also Joah launched an airplane on top of the RV. This happened.
