Orlando, Florida

I was talking to someone about how blogging has been really good for me. It’s somewhat like journaling. My Grandma used to journal. I love that I am able to look back and read about all of our experiences. We are so incredibly blessed. Brandon is very intentional about family time and I try to be too. We have such a short time with our kids, and Brandon is very intentional about enjoying every minute we have with them. We are trying to cultivate a close and loving family. Our kids won’t remember material things that we got them. They will remember experiences, family time, teaching, and training. Our kids have been outside of normal routine, home life, and church for a month. Even still we feel the positives outweigh the negatives. We have been intentional about doing devotions with the kids and living out our faith. For the most part the kids have been adaptable with an inconsistent routine.

We love our campground in Orlando. It’s beautiful.

IMG_5733.JPGWe are staying right by the water. We went for a walk on the dock this morning.

IMG_5711.JPGThen we went swimming in the pool for the rest of the morning.

IMG_5755IMG_5737.JPGEvery time we go to Disney Springs we stop at Lego Land and let the kids build.

IMG_5742.JPGThe kids love watching the volcano.

IMG_5744.JPGCaed is really into train rides. We let the kids ride the train. Caed was so excited. When the ride ended he jumped out of his seat and ran around the entire train track trying to hide from me. He did not want to get off. The girl running the ride was laughing. The little booger cried and cried when I ran and grabbed him.

IMG_5754.JPGWe took the girls to get sprinkled with glitter at the Biopidy Boppidi Boutique. It was a first for Isla. After they got sprinkled I went and found a spot in the grass and sat and fed Isla. While I was sitting, Brielle came up behind me with a handful of grass she picked. She threw the grass all over my face and said “mom, you’re a beautiful princess.”

We ate at Planet Hollywood in Disney Springs. This was a first experience for all of us. We loved it. They had a 5000sq ft screen behind our table. At one point Elsa came on singing Let it Go. Brielle and Caed’s reactions were priceless. They both started clapping and singing. Joah pretended he was too cool for Elsa.

IMG_5767.JPGWe walked around after we ate. They had the door from The Titanic displayed.

IMG_5773.JPGAfter Planet Hollywood, we headed back to our camp and got in the hot tub. The kids lasted about 30 seconds, then wanted to swim in the pool instead. They swam and got out all their energy right before bed. When it got late we made everyone get out and get dried off. As soon as they were all dry and bundled in towels, Joah fell into the pool with his towel. We asked him what in the world happend. He said “sometimes it’s just hard for me to balance, mom.”
