Life as a Yowler

We had a much better day today then yesterday. The kids and I were outside exploring this new campground all morning while Brandon went to his store training. Joah made a new friend. He was older than Joah. They rode their bikes together for two hours and they were having a blast. This kid was being very nice and very patient with Joah. They rode up and down our RV street about 1000 times.

I had a picnic outside with the youngest three. Joah chose to keep riding his bike. I thought for sure he would get hungry and join us, but nope. I finally forced him to eat lunch at 12:45. He was so upset with me. He said, “But mom, you don’t understand. I have a friend and he needs me to ride bike with him.”

Brielle wanted to take Kit for a ride. Caed also wanted to ride bike and Joah volunteered to get his bike out from the storage compartment under the RV. I let him and I didn’t realize until tonight when Brandon went to put it away, that Joah ripped the cable while pulling the bike out. Looks like there’s no cable for us the rest of this trip and we will be roughing it. That was sarcasm.

When Brandon got done with his training we decided to take the kids to the zoo. We heard they have a really nice zoo here in Baton Rouge.

It did not disappoint. We loved it. Here they are checking out the tigers.

They even had gators. The kids were so excited because they were right by the fence.

When we were done at the zoo we called our campground to see where they recommend eating dinner. Brandon goes, “so it’s a Friday night. Where do you recommend taking my family to eat?” The guy on the phone goes in his total southern accent, “well I usually get takeout from The Hooters.” lol we decided to choose a restaraunt ourselves. We decided on Duke’s seafood house. It was really good.

We ordered a serving of alligator. Caed and Brandon loved it. The rest of us tolerated it.

The boys wanted to run into Bass Pro Shop. They wanted to check it out. It was really cool. It was swamp themed.

Isla learned how to give kisses today.
