The Haverteys sales associates told Brandon he had to take his family to the stockyards before we leave Texas. I’m so glad they did. Everyone loved it. I was so exhausted last night when we got back, I lost my cell phone. After a search of the RV I found it…..in Isla’s sleep swaddler. No joke. Please tell me someone else has lost their cell phone in their baby’s sleep swaddler? I would blame the baby but she can’t move. 🤦♀️ I’m just thankful I found it. Brandon was calling it and we thought it was strange Isla was vibrating.

When we first got to the stockyards we let the kids go on a longhorn ride. Joah went first. It was a highlight for him.
Brielle went next. She also loved it. Caed panicked when it was his turn. I didn’t think we should force him, although I’m kind of sad he won’t have the experience. He very willingly volunteered Isla to go in his place.
After the rides, we saw a cattle run. Real Texas cowhands drive a herd of cattle right down the street. We stood and watched. Caed especially was amazed.
After the cattle run, we went and saw Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show. The show featured trick roping, trick riding, trick shooting, and cracking the whip. Joah especially loved it. He was amazed for the entire show. I was worried Isla would be scared. The gun shots were really loud. She loved it though. She loves action and was watching with huge eyes.

The boys loved the show so much. Brielle…..I’m glad I took snacks.

After the show Brandon took the kids out into the arena to meet the cowboys and horses.
We were all hungry after the show. We walked by Booger Reds and decided to eat there. It sounded delicious. 🤣2 It was and the kids were loving the name.
Brandon got a Buffalo Butt Beer. How could he resist with a name like that?
I got an Anita Rita.
Brielle discovered she loves radishes. She picked every one off my salad and ate it.
We had a great night at the stockyards and a great time in Texas. We move on today to Louisiana after Brandon’s final two Texas trainings. Looking forward to more adventures in Louisiana!
