Oklahoma

The campground we stayed at last night was in the sticks and I mean the sticks. It wasn’t a KOA. When we first got there there was no power and it was a good four hours until they got someone there to fix it. I was glad for our generator. There was no running water or soap in the bath house.  There was no playground for the kids. The boys are so high energy and I literally just had them run up and down the driveway about 100 times, or I would have had to sell them.

IMG_4775.JPGWhen we left the campground the first mile we came to we guessed that it was time to stop at a stop sign?

IMG_4780No that’s not a glare. That’s a white stop sign with a barely ledgable word stop on it. Good thing we were paying attention. Good grief.

Finally we reached Oklahoma City where civilization lives.

IMG_4782IMG_4790I discovered today on the ride Brielle has a talent for finding hidden pictures. She’s better than I am.

IMG_4778.JPGI also have been giving her more responsibility on this trip. She’s been helping me feed Isla sometimes. She’s such a little mother.

This afternoon we arrived at the KOA campground of our old friends, Kevin and  Dawn Maust. It has been great catching up with them. We love their campground. Our kids are having a blast. They have a great playground and beautiful property.

Ive learned something on this trip….if I am lazy enough Brandon will pick up my slack. He made dinner tonight and it was delicious. He’s also been keeping the laundry going because he’s tired of it piling up. At home I’m a machine of efficiency and OCD. This new lazy Carla has been very refreshing

Brandon’s food he made tonight. I’m loving this RV life.

We ended the night going in the hot tub and catching up with Kevin and Dawn. It was a great day!
