Life as a Yowler

Brandon had a store training first thing yesterday morning. Then we drove through the state of Kansas. Kansas was SO windy and talk about the middle of nowhere. We had the hardest time finding anywhere to get gas. We finally found a little gas station that we could fit in. Before we got to Kansas we stopped for lunch after Brandon’s store training. We ate at Lambert’s. It was so fun, but we had no idea they would be so busy over lunch. The whole thing took 2.5 hours. We are glad we did it though. The kids loved it.

The kids loved catching the rolls so much. They kept putting their hands up every time the guy came by. Isla crashed half way through the meal.

The drive yesterday took a long time because of the wind. It was 7:30pm before we got to the next camp, which made for a late dinner. I’m loving my insta pot in the RV. If I plan ahead and prepare the meal the night before, I can put the food right in the pot and cook it while we are driving down the road. We had Mongolian stir fry last night. Everyone ate well because they were so hungry.

The oldest two kids have been doing their school every day when the youngest two nap. Brielle has been doing stickers while I work with Joah. Today we drove through Oklahoma.

When we got to the campground this evening Brandon and Joah went on a hog hunt. They got two of them so they were really excited.

In other news Isla can no longer lay on the bed unsupervised. She is now rolling everywhere. Also Caed has a new phrase. He says “I need to eat mom, so I can change my attitude.” 🤣 He hears me tell him that. Brielle and Joah got into a fight today over the card game war. Brielle cheated.  Joah scratched her face. She was very thankful for a break from Joah tonight when he went on the hunt.

As soon as Joah left Brielle got me a can of Sprite. I told her I didn’t want it and she said, “but mom it’s a special night. Joah’s gone.” She even got me a straw. How could I refuse? She had a nice break and she loves him again now that he’s back.
