Dixie Land Stampede and Precious Moments Chapel

We had a very full day today. The only thing we had planned was Brandon’s store training in Rogers, Arkansas. We drove the RV to the store training and I had the kids ride bike around the empty parking lot to get all their energy out. Then I took them inside the store for the end of the store training. They were very well behaved and the sales associates loved seeing Brandon’s family.

One of the sales associates told us we had to take the kids to The Precious Moments Chapel. It was literally right on the drive to Springfield Missouri. We watched for the sign then stopped and checked it out. It was really cool.

The kids did a bunch of chores before the trip with the promise that they could get a souvenir reminder of this trip. We let them pick them today. Joah picked Robin Hood because we’ve been watching that movie when we drive in the RV. Brielle picked Cinderella because that’s her favorite princess(today anyways).

Well helped Caed pick Lightning Mcqueen because we drove down Route 66. I picked Belle for Isla because she’s my favorite.

When we got to the campground we found out the Dixie Land Stampede was in Bronson Missouri. Brandon went to the Stampede when he was young and it was one of his favorite childhood memories, so we decided last minute to go. They had a reservation open and we set up camp as fast as we could and left. It was awesome! The kids absolutely loved it, especially the boys. It’s not easy to hold my kids attention for two hours, but this did no problem. They were amazed the whole time.

We got to see the horses on our walk into the show.

Right before the show Joah had to pee. Brandon took him, came back and Caed pooped. I took him and changed him, came back and Isla pooped. Took her and changed her, came back and Brielle had to pee. Took her and came back just in time for the show. As much of a pain in the butt and a workout that was, how awesome that it happened before the show and not during. Good grief!

The food was awesome. We had to keep reminding the kids to eat. They were too into the show.

We were the South team. We ended up losing and Joah, mr. competitive, was very disappointed.

What a great day. The kids will remember the Dixie Land Stampede for a long time. Joah said it’s his favorite thing we’ve done so far. We all really loved it!
